About the Role
This is a hands-on software development role within the R&D team, focused on building and maintaining business application software for Health IT systems — including Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), and HL7-based integrations.
Reporting directly to the R&D Manager, you will be involved across the full development lifecycle: from writing and testing code against Solution Design Proposals, to documenting changes and contributing to ongoing system improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer with a strong .NET Core background who wants to apply their skills in a meaningful, technically rigorous environment within the healthcare technology space.
The role is fully remote, with occasional visits to the Shah Alam office for team meetings and collaboration.
Requirements
Must Have
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
3–5 years of hands-on experience in business application development using Angular, TypeScript, C#, .NET Core, and the .NET framework
Knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2016 and Windows 10/11 environments
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to Have
Experience or exposure to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, and XML
Experience with .NET microservices architecture
Familiarity with Oracle and MS SQL Server databases
Experience with Health IT products such as HIS (Hospital Information System) or LIS (Laboratory Information System)
Knowledge of HL7 interfacing standards
Familiarity with Dapper, ADO, or JDBC
Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VPN, broadband, and leased line connectivity
Responsibilities
- Report to and work closely with the R&D Manager on assigned development tasks
- Develop, enhance, and maintain business application software in line with Solution Design Proposals
- Write clean, well-structured code using Angular, TypeScript, C#, .NET Core, and the .NET framework
- T-est programming code thoroughly against functional and technical specifications
- Document all developments, code changes, and system updates accurately and consistently
Salary and Benefits
- Monthly salary of MR 8,000 – MR 15,000, all-inclusive and commensurate with experience
- 2-year contract with a strong likelihood of conversion to permanent employment
- Fully remote working arrangement — work from home with occasional office visits in Shah Alam
- 16 days Annual Leave per year
