About the Role
As the Malaysian operations expand, this company is seeking a mid-level IT Infrastructure Specialist to take full ownership of the local technical environment. This is a strategically important role that serves as a vital bridge between the Kuala Lumpur office and the China Headquarters IT team — coordinating directly in Mandarin to implement global IT standards locally and ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
You will be the primary on-site technical resource for the KL office — managing infrastructure, driving performance optimisation, and supporting local projects including NFC technology, network setups, and website maintenance. Mandarin fluency is not optional — it is central to how this role communicates, coordinates, and grows.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management
Professional fluency in Mandarin — Speaking, Reading, and Writing — is mandatory for coordination with the China HQ IT team and overseas training
Strong technical knowledge of virtualisation, cloud infrastructure, and disaster recovery systems
Willing and able to work fully on-site at the Kuala Lumpur office (Menara HLX)
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and storage systems
- Monitor and optimise network and system performance to ensure business continuity and minimal disruption
- Install, upgrade, and maintain hardware and software components on a regular basis
- Act as the primary point of contact for the China HQ IT department — coordinating in Mandarin to troubleshoot internal system issues and learn proprietary systems used across the group
- Support local technical projects including NFC technology implementations, network setups, and website maintenance
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of system configurations, network diagrams, and operational procedures
Salary and Benefits
- Monthly salary of up to MR 9,000, commensurate with experience
