About the Role
This is an opportunity to work where software quality is not just a KPI — it is a matter of patient safety. As a QA Engineer embedded within the Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring every product release meets rigorous functional, compliance, and performance standards across live healthcare platforms.
You will design and maintain automated test suites, integrate testing deeply into CI/CD pipelines, and help shape the organisation's quality strategy from the ground up as the platform scales regionally. This role offers rare ownership: you will define QA processes, establish quality gates, and directly influence how the team thinks about reliability, regulatory readiness, and engineering excellence.
If you care deeply about building software that people can trust — this is the role for you.
Requirements
Must Have
3–7 years of experience in software testing or QA engineering
Proficiency in test automation frameworks (Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, PyTest, JUnit, or equivalent)
Hands-on experience testing RESTful APIs and microservices — ideally FHIR/HL7-based endpoints
Strong SQL skills and data validation experience
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and source control (Git)
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Nice to Have
Exposure to healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM)
Experience testing AI/ML features or data-driven systems
Understanding of security and compliance testing (penetration testing basics, audit trail validation)
Familiarity with performance testing tools (k6, Locust, JMeter)
Background in regulated industries such as fintech, medtech, or pharma
Responsibilities
-Test Design & Execution
Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites covering API, UI, and integration layers
Execute manual tests for new features, edge cases, and regression scenarios
Ensure test coverage for clinical workflows, interoperability standards (FHIR / HL7), and data integrity
Validate security, performance, and accessibility requirements across all products
-Automation & CI/CD Integration
Implement and maintain test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Postman, PyTest, or equivalent)
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Argo CD)
Establish quality gates and automated regression tests for each release cycle
Collaborate with DevOps to build test environments using containers and mock data
-Quality Processes & Standards
Define and document QA processes aligned with HIPAA, PDPA, and ISO 27001 requirements
Conduct risk-based testing and defect triage sessions with product and engineering teams
Maintain traceability between requirements, tests, and compliance artifacts
Participate in release sign-offs and post-release verification
-Collaboration & Mentorship
Work cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and designers to clarify acceptance criteria early
Communicate defects and quality metrics clearly to stakeholders
Mentor junior engineers on test automation best practices and quality mindset
Contribute to internal tooling and knowledge bases
Salary and Benefits
