About the Role
This is a senior-level, hands-on software development role with a direct path to Tech Lead responsibilities as the company continues to expand. The position has been created to replace a departing senior engineer and to strengthen the team's overall delivery capacity for government and GLC projects.
You will be involved end-to-end in project delivery — from requirements gathering and system design through development, testing, and deployment — working primarily on web applications alongside mobile and business intelligence work. You will collaborate closely with the technical lead and communicate directly with clients at progress and technical meetings. Proficiency in AI-assisted development tools is expected and actively encouraged as part of the workflow.

Requirements
Minimum 5 years of hands-on software development experience (senior-level; equivalent to 8 years by industry standard)
Strong proficiency in the core web stack: PHP, Laravel, Livewire 3, Alpine.js, Vue.js, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Tailwind, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
Experience with Flutter for mobile application development is an advantage
Familiarity with BI dashboard development is a plus
Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (Gemini, Claude, or similar) as part of everyday workflow
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills — able to break down complex requirements into practical solutions
Excellent communication skills — able to engage confidently with both technical teammates and non-technical client stakeholders
Hardworking, resilient under pressure, and collaborative by nature — a genuine team player with a non-toxic, participative working style
Willing to work primarily on-site in Cyberjaya with occasional visits to client sites
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to web application development as the primary workload (~80%) — building robust, scalable solutions using PHP, Laravel, Livewire 3, Alpine.js, Vue.js, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Tailwind, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
- Support mobile application development (~10%) using Flutter
- Develop business intelligence dashboards (~10%) to support data-driven decision-making for clients
- Integrate and leverage AI tools — including Gemini, Claude, and agentic automation — into daily development workflows to improve speed and quality
- Own end-to-end project involvement: requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, and deployment for government and GLC clients
- Collaborate actively within the technical team, contributing to code reviews, knowledge sharing, and team problem-solving
- Communicate directly with clients in progress meetings and technical discussions — presenting updates clearly and professionally
