About the Role
As a Tech Lead / Software Architect, you will own the backend architecture and engineering direction.
This is a player-coach role where you actively code every day while guiding engineers, shaping system design, and aligning technology with product goals.
You will create domain models, define APIs, set SLOs, and ensure the platform remains fast, reliable, and scalable.
Requirements
7+ years of backend engineering experience
3+ years as a tech lead or software architect
Strong hands-on coding skills (Go preferred)
Experience with microservices, distributed systems, real-time or high-traffic platforms
Expertise in API design (REST / gRPC)
Strong understanding of SLO/SLI, reliability engineering & observability
Skilled with Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure
Proven experience mentoring engineers and improving engineering velocity
Bonus
Gaming or transactional system experience
Experience with GCP, Terraform, Kafka
Responsibilities
- Architect and design scalable, domain-driven backend systems
- Define API boundaries, contracts & version strategies
- Set and maintain SLOs for latency, reliability & performance
- Write and review production-grade Go code daily
- Lead technical discussions & design reviews
- Mentor engineers and elevate engineering standards
- Align architecture with product roadmap & performance needs
- Improve system reliability, delivery velocity & observability
